NEW ORLEANS FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS

Family law includes matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, community property partitions, and pre-nuptial agreements. The procedure by which such matters are determined varies from state to state and parish to parish; it is important to find an attorney experienced in the specific laws and local customs applicable to your case.

Our lawyers have extensive local experience. In fact, David Greenberg helped craft Jefferson Parish’s Domestic Rules of Court. He worked for over two years as an active member of the Jefferson Parish Domestic Rules Revision Committee in 2002-2004. This committee was empowered to rewrite the Domestic Rules of Court for Jefferson Parish. David Greenberg worked with judges, domestic hearing officers and other domestic attorneys to help refashion the rules governing the operation of domestic courts in Jefferson Parish.

Ann Thompson has a particular interest in domestic violence advocacy. During her “Katrina semester” of law school, she clerked at the Domestic Violence Action Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and was later admitted to the Tulane University Law School Domestic Violence Clinic. Beginning in this clinic in her third year of law school, Ms. Thompson represented victims of domestic violence and continues to be passionate about this area of practice today.
