DAVID GREENBERG BIOGRAPHY
A native of the greater New Orleans area, David Greenberg has practiced law in southeast Louisiana since 1981. He has tried a diverse range of bench and jury trials to verdict. Mr. Greenberg’s range of experience includes handling of personal injury, maritime personal injury and business disputes in both state and federal court. He has obtained a multimillion dollar judgment for a client in a serious injury case in federal court and has obtained a large number of judgments and settlements for seriously injured parties and the heirs of those wrongfully killed due to the negligence of others.
A large part of Mr. Greenberg’s practice includes the handling of the full range of family law and community property matters. He has tried and mediated cases of this sort before judges and hearing officer’s throughout southeast Louisiana.
Mr. Greenberg is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Economics. He is a 1981 graduate of the Tulane University Law School. He is a member of the Louisiana, New Orleans and Jefferson Bar Associations. Mr. Greenberg served on the Executive Board of the Jefferson Bar Association from 1991 through 1998, serving as president of the Jefferson Bar Association for the 1996-1997 term.
Since 2009, Mr. Greenberg has served as an adjunct professor at the Tulane University Law School teaching trial skills in the Trial Advocacy Program.
Mr. Greenberg has been identified as one of New Orleans' "Top Lawyers"by New Orleans magazine. He is rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell, which is one of the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession. This is the highest possible peer review rating.
Mr. Greenberg served as an active member of the Jefferson Parish Domestic Rules Revision Committee in 2002-2004. This committee entirely rewrote the Domestic Rules of Court for Jefferson Parish. David Greenberg worked with judges, domestic hearing officers and other attorneys to help refashion the rules governing the operation of domestic courts in Jefferson Parish.
Mr. Greenberg is admitted to practice in all courts in Louisiana including Federal Courts in the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Claims in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Greenberg lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. He and his wife, Lauren, have three children, Michael, Ryan and Molly.
